Biography

Gagandeep Gill is a qualified public health researcher and professor in public health/ population health. Currently, he is serving as the Senior Health Research Analyst for MemorialCare Health System in Southern California and assistant professor at the professional level. He is also the Senior Research and Health Services Consultant with the National Environmental Health Association on four major awards, including a three-year, $40 million US FDA retail food safety program. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from UCLA and a Master of Public Health in Biostatistics and a DrPH in Preventive Care from Loma Linda University. He is a certified public health administrator and has been a researcher with the Loma Linda University Research Group, Office of Public Health Practice at Loma Linda University. He then served as a statistician at San Bernardino County of Public Health, where he ran the analysis for the Environmental Health Services, WIC and BONUS Program, Clinical Operations, Vital Statistics of Birth and Death, and Animal Control Services. In research and academia, He then worked with associates from UCSF and LLU in collaboration to research SOUTH ASIANS IN THE MASALA STUDY. He professionally worked as a GIS Analyst at the Department of Public Works in the County of San Bernardino and then served as a director of Clinical Safety for FQHC Clinica Sierra Vista. In addition, works as adjunct faculty teaching Biostatistics and Public Health at WCU.
