Biography

Germano Guerra was born in Naples (NA) il 28/10/1969. Intern (Senior House Officer) at the Department of Biomorphological and Functional Sciences, "Federico II" University of Naples, from 1989 to 1997. M.D. Degree in 1997 at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the "Federico II" University of Naples. Resident in Sport Medicine at the Department of Biomorphological and Functional Sciences, "Federico II" University of Naples, from 1998 to 2002. PhD Program in Clinical and Pathological Morphology (macroscopic microscopic and ultrastructural morphology), Department of Biomorphological and Functional Sciences at University of Naples "Federico II", from 2002 to 2005. Clinical Research Fellow at Molecular and Population Genetics Department of Cancer Research UK from 2003 to 2004. Visiting Researcher at Molecular and Population Genetics Department of Cancer Research UK in 2005. Lecturer of Human Anatomy (S.S.D. BIO/16) at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University "Federico II" of Naples, at the Faculty of Exercise Sciences of the "Parthenope" University of Naples, at the Faculty of Biological Sciences and Medicine and Surgery of the University of Molise from 2001 to 2007. Contract Assistant Professor of Human Anatomy (S.S.D. BIO/16) at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Molise from October 2007. Member of Italian Society of Anatomy and Histology, of Italian Society of Histochemistry and of Italian Board of Sport Medicine. His prevalent interest is Microscopic and Molecular Morphology. In particular at the Biomorphological and Functional Sciences Department he studied in normal and pathological samples, morfological aspects of otorhinolaryngological, respiratory, cardiovascular and female reproductive tract gaining extensive experience with the use of in vitro cell culture, histological, histochemical and immunofluorescence microscopy techniques. During his PhD Program at Cancer Research UK he gained extensive experience in molecular biology as well studying morphopathological and molecular features of colon cancer. Recently his main research topic was EPCs biology and their involvement in tumor progression and regenerative medicine. His teaching activity is huge and certificate including topographic, macroscopic, microscopic, ultrastructural, functional and clinical human anatomy. University Assistant Professor of Human Anatomy (S.S.D. BIO/16) at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Molise from April 2011. University Associate Professor of Human Anatomy (S.S.D. BIO/16) at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Molise from August 2017.
