Surendar Tadi present study was mainly focused on application of MS for quantitative and qualitative analysis of proteomics and metabolomics. Although it is known that dysregulation of metabolism leads to major cellular disturbances in living organisms and induce diseases. Not much effort has been made to understand insights of molecular basis due to technological limitations. Technical advances in instrumentation is breaking the barriers and overcoming the bottlenecks in metabolic profiling. Application of high end instruments such as MS for global metabolic screening is increasing traction. My research was focused on identifying lipid potential biomarkers in pediatric leukemia and brain tumors. We are also working on analysis of metabolic flux in cancer cells known to attaining energy rebalancing to maintain energy homeostasis. Some of my projects were dedicated for pharmacokinetic studies of novel drug molecules which inhibit cancer progression.
