Ahmed E. El-Shabasy is a botanist specialized in plant taxonomy and ecology specialized in the Middle East region biodiversity study. He obtained PhD (2015) in Molecular plant taxonomy from Ain Shams University, M.Sc. (2008) from Helwan University & B.Sc. (2002) from Alexandria University, Egypt. He is currently working as an assistant professor in Biology department , faculty of science, Jazan University, KSA. He published original articles in plant taxonomy, environmental impacts and medicinal plants. He contributed with writing plant biology books & he is an eminent baord member of Biological Saudi Society, the Genetic Egyptian Society and many more. He participated in different workshops and conferences on genome editing plant taxonomy technologies. He is involved in Highly Hazardous Pesticides program affiliated with FAO, United Nations.
