K. Riazunnisa is an Associate Professor, Dept of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics at Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa. She graduated in the area of Plant Sciences from the University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad. She has worked on various research projects related to photosynthesis, respiration, glycolate metabolism of pea plants and Arabidopsis ascorbate deficiency mutants, NADP-MDH knock-out mutants. She worked as a visiting scientist on NADP-MDH KO mutants in Prof. Renate Scheibes lab, University of Osnabrueck, GERMANY. To her credit, she has high quality of 50 research articles, 13 book chapters and more than 50 conference presentations. Riazunnisa received the Young Scientist Award, DST-SERB, New Delhi; Distinguished Scientist award; qualified CSIR-UGC-JRF and selected twice as a summer visiting student of IASc. She was successful in competitive scientific positions, research fellowships and project mentoring for graduate students and research scholars.
