Elamin Ali Ahmed is currently working as Professor at the University of Gezira. He was appointed as Deputy Dean and Dean of Faculty of Agriculture & Natural Resources and Director of Plant Pathology Centre at Faculty of Agricultural sciences. He obtained his B.Sc. (Honours) from University of Khartoum, Sudan(1992), M.Sc. from University of Gezira, Sudan (1995) & PhD from University of Gezira, Sudan and INRA France(2000). He has released F1 hybrid sorghum and F1 squash hybrid resistant zucchini yellow mosaic varius and powdery mildew and involved in pepper breeding and cucurbit crops in addition to Quality Protein Maize (QPM) with IITA.. He has a number of papers published in peer reviewed regional and international journals and conference proceedings. Elamin served as director for Khartoum Horticultural Exporting Company promoting fruits and vegetables export from Sudan to Arab Gulf and European countries.
