Biography

Professor Christian Siatka, geneticist and toxicologist at the University of Nimes, is at the forefront of molecular genetics, biotechniques, toxicology, and quality management education at both undergraduate and graduate levels. As the president of the Francophone Federation of DNA Schools, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of genetic education and research in the French-speaking world.

Before his academic tenure, he made significant contributions as an expert in biology and toxicology at the Marseille Police Laboratory. His expertise extends to his role as a lieutenant-colonel in the citizen reserve of the National Gendarmerie, where he collaborates closely with the Judicial Pole of the National Gendarmerie and the IRCGN services. His proficiency in genetics, cellular, and molecular biology also led him to serve as an expert for the European Commission, where he influences policy and research direction at a continental level.

With a profound expertise in human molecular genetics, He has made significant contributions to the field, blending meticulous analytical skills with cutting-edge technological applications. Educated at prestigious institutions, they hold advanced degrees that have laid the foundation for their deep understanding of forensic methodologies and investigative techniques. Since 2014, He has concentrated his research on the cutting-edge field of molecular genetics, specifically on genome editing strategies using CRISPR/Cas systems, coupled with all screening strategies through Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), and second and third-generation PCR techniques. His work rigorously considers the regulatory and bioethical issues surrounding these technologies, demonstrating his commitment to responsible science.
