Biography

Omer Alan was born on November 24, 1972, in Konya, Turkey. He completed his primary, middle, and high school education in Ankara. He graduated from the Gulhane Military Medical Academy, Faculty of Medicine, in 1998. After serving as a general practitioner in the Turkish Armed Forces for four years, he received training as a pulmonary diseases resident doctor for four years at the Gulhane Military Medical Academy, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pulmonary Diseases. After completing his specialization training, he worked as a pulmonology specialist at a military hospital for 10 years. Subsequently, he began working for the Ministry of Health. He received training as a forensic medicine resident doctor for four years at Kirikkale University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Forensic Medicine. Currently, he is working as a forensic medicine specialist at Yıldırım Beyazit University Yenimahalle Training and Research Hospital. He is the forensic medicine specialist in charge of the Child Follow-up Center. He monitors children who have been sexually, physically, and emotionally abused.
