Biography

Cintia Fridman holds a degree in Biological Sciences at the Biosciences Institute- USP (1991), master’s degree in Biology / Genetics at the Biosciences Institute - USP (1995), PhD in Biology / Genetics at the Biosciences Institute- USP (1999) and Post Doctorate from the Institute of Biosciences- USP (2001), trabalahndo with Prader-Willi and Angelman. It has Postdoctoral Fellow in the Institute of Psychiatry- Fac Medicine USP (2003) working with the genetics of psychiatric disorders. Currently a PhD professor at the University of Sao Paulo, Department of Medicine FMUSP Cool. She has experience in Genetics, with emphasis in Human and Medical Genetics, acting on the following topics: human identification, mitochondrial DNA, SNP, of angelman syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, chromosome 15, uniparental disomy and polymorphism.

Research Interests

Human Genetics Human Identification Forensic Genetics Ancestry Markers Polymorphisms.
