Biography

Pedro Vicente Mateo Fernandez is a forensic and health psychologist, and an expert in neuropsychology with a solid background in the field of legal and forensic psychology. He is currently in the final stages of my doctorate in forensic clinical psychology, focusing my research on the study of psychopathological variables in perpetrators within the realm of gender-based violence. As the director of the forensic psychology center Perito Psicologo Madrid, he has acquired extensive experience in psychological evaluation in various legal contexts. His professional practice ranges from preparing expert reports to testifying in court as an expert witness. In the academic sphere, he serves as a lecturer in the psychology degree program at Alfonso X El Sabio University, specifically in the area of educational psychology. Additionally, he is a professor in the Masters program in Legal and Forensic Psychology at the European University of Madrid, where he share his experience and knowledge with future professionals in the field. His research approach focuses on the intersection of clinical psychology, forensics, and neuropsychology, with a particular interest in understanding the psychological and neurobiological factors underlying violent Behavior in intimate relationships. He is committed to developing more accurate assessment methodologies and implementing effective intervention programs for aggressors, with the aim of contributing to the prevention and reduction of gender-based violence.
