Biography

Diann Cameron Kelly is an Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at Adelphi University. He has authored several articles on civic engagement and service learning. In addition to these articles, he also the editor and author of Treating Young Veterans, a book on ways to service the veteran community. He also a former Fahs-Beck Fellow, in which he explored the social components of the Civil Rights Era and the influence of these components on civic engagement. This resulted in a research report, an article and a presentation proposal. He is also a member of several community organizations, including the Lower Hudson Valley Perinatal Network which looks at health disparities in the Hudson Valley region of New York.

Research Interests

Research interests are civic engagement in the minority community Health disparities among minority populations Child and adolescent well-being.
