Biography

Husheng Ding received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2006. Currently he is a research associate in the department of oncology at Mayo Clinic. His main field of research is to study what happens when cancer cells are treated with experimental anticancer drugs. Ding is an outstanding scientist in the field of cancer biology, particularly in the area of apoptosis (programmed cell death). He joined the editorial board of Frontiers in Oncology and Frontiers in Cell Death and Survival in 2014. He is also an editor of Cancer Translational Medicine. He has been serving as a reviewer for many cancer-related international journals, such as Leukemia, Cell Death & Differentiation, Journal of Hematology & Oncology, Biochemical Journal, Molecular Biology Reports, PLOS ONE and Cellular & Molecular Immunology. He research areas include cancer biology, haematological malignancies (leukemia and lymphoma), putative anticancer drugs, apoptosis(programmed cell death), cell signaling, cellular senescence and aging, translational medicine, protein structure and function.
