Volodymyr Mykhailovych Kuklin was born in Chernivtsi on September 25, 1948. He spent the school years in Western Ukraine and Poland, finishing his studies in Kharkiv. Graduated with honors from the Faculty of Physics and Technology of the Kharkiv State University named after A. M. Gorky (now - Kharkiv National University named after V. N. Karazin- KhNU). From 1972 to 1988, he was a researcher at this university, where he defended Phd and D.SC dissertations in theoretical physics. Since 1992 he had been a professor at the Kharkiv University. He is a author of three monographs, nine reviews and 170 scientific works and I had the grant PST EV N 978763, NATO Science Program Cooperative Science & Technology 2002. Collaborated with; O. G. Zahorodny (ITF, Kyiv), V. P. Silin (FIAN), Ya. B. Fainberg (PhTI, Kharkiv), L. Pismen (Technion, Haifa), K. Schunemann (TUHH, Hamburg). Took an active part in the creation of the KhNU the Faculty of Computer Sciences. Since the organization of the faculty, acting head, and since 2005 - Head of the department of artificial intelligence. Represented as a member of the council on plasma physics and plasma electronics of the National Academy of Sciences and the scientific council of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine "Study of the problems of natural science", awarded for the training of highly qualified specialists with honorary diplomas of the presidium of the National Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Education of Ukraine, he was the member of the bureau of the Ukrainian Physical Society.
