She graduated from the Azerbaijan Medical Institute with a Master’s degree in 1995 and began her research career the same year at the Department of Cellular Metabolism Biophysics, A.I. Karayev Institute of Physiology, National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. In 2009, she earned her PhD with a dissertation on the effects of non-thermal intensity electromagnetic radiation on oxidative stress in the eye lens and its correction. She currently serves as a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Physiology. Her research focuses on oxidative processes in living organisms exposed to non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation and the role of oxidative-antioxidant systems in adaptive responses to extreme physical factors. She is the author of more than 100 scientific publications.
