Dr Habil Anna Błazewicz PhD, Professor at the Medical University of Lublin, Poland, has been a researcher and academic teacher at the university since 1997. She is Head of the Chair of Biomedical Sciences and Head of the Department of Pathobiochemistry. She has authored over 140 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and holds patents. Her work focuses on developing chemical separation methods, including ion chromatography, for medical and pharmaceutical applications, and on studying the impact of environmental contaminants, including metals, on human metabolism and disease biochemistry. She has conducted visiting research at the University of Porto, Portugal, and the University of Limerick, Ireland. She supervises PhD students in pharmaceutical sciences and serves as an active reviewer of doctoral and habilitation theses. She participates in interdisciplinary international research teams, contributes to the dissemination of biomedical science, and is a member of several editorial boards of international journals. She lectures at scientific conferences worldwide.
