Biography

Theresia Stoeckl Drax is a pediatrician with special focus on developmental pediatrics and neurology, attention, learning and auditory processing disorders, as well as emotional and behavioral problems of children and young adults. In her neurodevelopmental clinic in Munich she has created the term of the emotionally gifted child and on a brain-basis described it as hypermirroring. For evaluation and treatment, she uses 19 channel EEG and infra slow Loreta feedback. She has adapted Brainspotting for children and parents as tool to treat early signs of trauma during development. She studied medicine at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich, Germany and Tufts-University, Boston, USA (internship), and completed electives at St. Thomas Hospital, London, UK, Gemelliklinik, Rome, Italy and Hospital Maternidade Frei Galvao, Guaratingueta, Brasil.
