Biography

Prof. D S Hooda was Ex-Dean(R) and HOD for department of mathematics in Former PVC Kurukshetra Univeristy, India. His Field of Specialization is Information Theory and its Applications, his is an eminent mathematician and able administrator at par excellence. He served as Lecturer to Prof. and Head in HAU, Hisar and CRM PG college as principal for two years, worked as Pro-Vice. Chancellor of Kurukshetra University for a short period and served JUET, Guna as Dean(R) and HOD, mathematics for 12 years after superannuation. He Guided 13 PhDs and one PDF; published 138 research papers in various Journals, 32 popular articles on development of science and mathematics education in schools, colleges and universities; Published 11 books in Mathematics and Statistics and one book titled Aryabhata: His Life and Contributions.

Research Interests

Information Measures Pattern Recognition Source Coding Survival Analysis Various Types of Fuzzy Sets and Fuzzy Information Measures.
