Biography

Charis Liapi finished her Medical studies at the NKUA and then she had her medical training in Endocrinology in France and USA. She is recipient of several awards and of two fellowships for research from Foundation Pour la Research Medical in France and from Foggarty in USA (NIHCHD &NCI, NIH). Research interests focusona) Nutritional pharmacology mainly focusing on the effects of choline deficient diet b) Pharmacological evaluation of potential Euro protective factors) Thyroid Cancer Immunology d) Epidemiological studies on drug use and misuse. Author of many scientific papers and book chapters she member of several scientific societies. She was president for two terms of the Hellenic Society of Pharmacology and member of the Ex Committee of EPHAR. She has been member of several scientific committees of a) the Ministry of Health (Com for Illicit drugs and Com for Road Safety in charge of the a drugs and drivinga) Ministry of Culture and Sports (Ex Com of the National Council For Combating Doping) and c)National Drug Organization (EOF) (Comtor the Approval of Medicinal Products For Human Use with Mutual Agreement, Com for the Approval of Medicinal Products For Human Use at national level, Comfor The Approval of Biocidal Products and currently President of the Committee For The Evaluation of Medical Information and Advertisement From Pharmaceutical Companies. Registered as an Expert for medicinal products in EMA.
