Biography

Orestis M Ioannidis was registered at the the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Medical School, from which he graduated in 2005 with grade Very Good. He served his military service from November 2005 till November 2006, as a Doctor and then started the mandatory rural medical service first with three months mandatory training in pathology, surgery and cardiology departments of the General Hospital of Chalkidiki. In November 2007 he started the specialty of surgery in 4th Department of General Surgery of A.U.TH., General Hospital G Papanikolaou and he was awarded the Specialty Surgery medical license to practice in March 2014. He was placed in a position of Academic Fellow in Surgery and Attending Consultant Surgeon in the Medical School of AUTH on 11.01.2015 and since then participate in all clinical and nursing activities of 4th Department of General Surgery of A.U.TH., General Hospital G. Papanikolaou, and in the organization and operation of the above clinic. His research activity includes among others participation in 30 clinical studies and several experimental protocols, of which 3 were performed by him. I have a total of 108 publications in international journals of ISI, all in PubMed, an H-Index of 19 and my references are 1602. He was invited by 141 international journals to assess a total of 217 articles and by 2 scientific publishers to evaluate 1 book and 1 book chapter. From November 2014 until October 2015 He was a research fellow of the 4th Department of General Surgery of A.U.TH, and since November 2015 he serve as an academic fellow and attending surgeon of that clinic to conduct teaching, research, scientific and clinical work.
