Ikhsan Siregar was born in Medan, Indonesia, in 1980. He received the B.E. degree in industrial engineering from the University of Sumatera Utara, Medan, Indonesia, in 2003, and the M. Eng (manufacturing) from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and now still going on PhD in UITM, Malaysia. In 2005, he joined the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Sumatera Utara, as a Lecturer, and in 2016 became a Researcher. Since October 2017 until now, he join research group in UiTM, Malaysia and make some publication and research collaboration together. He also active participates and organize international conferences with many researcher. He is a Member of Industrial and System Engineer, and now become a Professional Staff Rector University of Sumatera Utara to make some policy to get more productivity for the university environment. He received The 500 best Indonesian researcher in 2020 from Ministry of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia. He was the General Chair of the International Conference on Information Technology and Engineering Management, (ITEM 2019 & 2020) held in Belitong and Banda Aceh. He becomes a reviewer from several journals such as for national and international journal. And also become a reviewer for international conference in Indonesia. Now, the collaboration research still going with researcher from Czech Republic and United States. His concern in development of knowledge and likely to brainstorming to another researcher to get some ideas and make collaboration together.
