Biography

Pradeep Kumar Sharma is a Scientist at Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (CSIR-IITR), Environmental Carcinogenesis Laboratory, Food, Drugs and Chemical Toxicology Group and obtained his PhD Degree in Biotechnology from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi, India. His research interests focus on the environmental carcinogenesis and cancer therapeutics. His lab is also working on novel combination of phytochemicals and chemotherapeutic drugs for better therapeutic efficacy in cancer. His lab is extensively working on molecular circuitries involved in cell death pathways and cross-talk among various cell death pathways and to utilize that knowledge for better anticancer therapeutic strategies as well mitigation of toxicant-induced toxicity in normal tissues and cells. He has served and still serving as a reviewer for various journal of national and international repute in the field of cancer, oxidative stress and toxicology. He has publishes several paper in cancer biology and toxicology in various international journals of high impact. He has also served as a member of expert committee for some national institutes in India. He has trained several undergraduate and graduate students under his mentorship. He has been awarded several academic fellowships in his academic career. He has also participated in several international conferences. He has also organized one International conference on Cell death in Cancer and Toxicology-2018. He has also served as lead guest editor of Breast Cancer: Basic and Clinical Research (SAGE Publication). He is an editorial board member of various journals in the field of Cancer and toxicology.
