Biography

Dr. Ashutosh Gupta currently practices as a gastroenterologist and hepatologist at the Medical Center Health System in Odessa, Texas. He also serves as an assistant clinical professor in the department of Internal medicine at the Texas Tech University, Permian Basin. He finished his medical school from Gandhi Medical College in India. He later pursued his residency in Internal Medicine and later fellowship in gastroenterology and Hepatology at the John H Stroger Hospital of Cook County (Cook County Hospital) affiliated with Rush University, Chicago, Illinois. He is ABIM board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and his research interests involves performing systematic reviews and meta-analysis on varied topics in gastroenterology. He has actively participated in national conferences with oral presentations and several abstracts. His area of interest includes esophageal disorders, GI bleeding, biliary disorders, Celiac disease, Hepatitis C, colonoscopy and outcomes research. He has an active teaching role for Internal and Family medicine residents at the Texas Tech University.
