Biography

Dr. A. M. Osman is an Assistance professor of Nuclear physics at Jouf University KSA. He received Ph.D. in nuclear physics from Ain-Shams University, Cairo, Egypt (2009). His research interest include detection of landmines and illicit materials by nuclear techniques, testing of different types of concretes and other compounds such as lead glass, borated glass and polymer composites as a radiation shielding, activation analysis by fast and thermal neutrons, neutron backscattering imaging technique, bulk hydrogen analysis in porous media, measuring of void fraction by different techniques, 2D-Image processing and analysis. A. M. Osman recent publications include, Measurement of void fraction in pipes by nuclear transmission based techniques, (Nov. 2020), Annals of Nuclear Energy and Investigation of Shielding Parameters for Barite and Boron Carbide Polymer Composite, (Dec. 2019), JNPGT. He also served in various administrative roles in Faculty of Science and Arts, including Head of Physics Department, (2014-2016) and Head of Academic Affairs, (2016 till now).
