Michael A Masoomi has been involved in provision of Nuclear Medicine Science,Teaching and Research & Developmentin a number of prestigious institutions at home (UK) and in aboard (USA) since 1990. He worked as an assistant professor in Davis Medical School, University of California in hisearly days following his PhD in Quantitative and Qualitative applicationsin NM Imaging from University of Surrey in UK. He has beenHead of Nuclear Medicine Physics Departments for thepast 2 decades including, Bahrain Defense Force Medical Services, Royal Naval Hospital-UK and Portsmouth Hospitals National Health Service in UK. He isa full member of many professional institutions and Editorial Boards suchas; FIPEM, ARCP, FRSM, Medicine®, AOJNMBandhas served in various scientific, research and teaching advisory committees including ARDSU (Academic Research and development Support Unit covering Portsmouth and SE Hampshire region–UK), Board of Postgraduate Studies in Medical Physics – University of Surrey, UK and Portsmouth Hospitals Trust Private Finance Initiative (PFI) Committee-UK. He actively participates in R&D in various clinical related NM and molecular imaging and have received number of research grants from various international organizations, including; Siemens Medical Healthcare, Amersham Health (GE Healthcare), Kuwait Foundation for theAdvancement of Science (KFAS), Batelco Co-operation in association with Bahrain Defence Force Hospital, Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust and many more. He has published more than 70 publications in pre-reviewed Journal and has presented extensively in national and international scientific and clinical meetings.
