Biography

Laura Melendez Alafort is a research Scientist at the Veneto Institute of Oncology IOV-IRCCS, Padua, Italy. She got the PhD in Nuclear Medicine at the London University, England in 2001, and a Masters in Nuclear Science at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, Mexico City in 1998. Her experience in the field of the radiopharmaceutical science extends over 20 years. She had worked as researcher at the Mexican National Institute of Nutrition "Salvador Zubiran", University of Mexican State (UAEM), and the University of Padua, Italy. She has authored or coauthoredover 100 scientific publications either in abstract, manuscript, reviews or chapters of books. Her research interest focus on the development of new radiopharmaceuticals for diagnosis and therapeutic applications in Nuclear Medicine. Her work also involvesradiocomplexpre-clinical, radiopharmacokinetics and dosimetric studies.
