Biography

Sajjad Tahir is the Assistant Professor of Physics at the Department of Nuclear Engineering, Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences, (PIEAS) Islamabad, Pakistan. He Sajjad Tahir was born in Haripur, KPK, Pakistan on 01 May1975. He graduated from Hazara Public High School in Haripur, KPK in May 1991, and from the University of Peshawar with a Bachelor of Science (Math & Physics) in August 1996. He remained at the University of Peshawar to complete his Masters in Physics in August 1999. He after receiving his education, he was enthusiastic to join a teaching institute due to his teaching skills and devotion to lifelong learning. After a tough competition, he was selected as a lecturer of Physics at PAF College Kamra in Sep 1999. He remained there for three years and due to his eagerness of learning, he obtained funded scholarship for MS Nuclear Engineering at PIEAS. He was accepted for a fully funded MS leading to PhD program at the department of physics, University at Albany, State University of New York, USA in 2009. He during his stay at UAlbany, he taught different undergraduate physics course at the department of physics successfully. He returned to his hometown in 2015 and joined PIEAS faculty as Assistant Professor.
