Biography

Rohan Rajapakse is the most senior Professor in Agriculture Biology in the University System in Sri Lanka. He is the former Executive Director of Sri Lanka Council of Agriculture Research the apex body of agriculture research in Sri Lanka. Subsequently he was appointed as the Vice Chairman of the University Grants Commission the apex boby of University system and at Present employed as the Senior Consultant to the Ministry of Higher education. A researcher with more than 100 publications in agricultural entomology and Crop Protection he has authored 5 books and serves in several International Editorial Boards. He earned his PhD in Entomology from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida in USA. He has wide experience in agriculture administration and was responsible for signing several MOUs in agriculture with countries like India, Nepal, and Malaysia with Sri Lanka.
