Edwin Herazo has 24 years of professional experience, both in the public and private sector, mainly in non-governmental organizations. He is Director of the Human Behavioral Research Institute, an independent research center based in Bogota, Colombia, South America. He as member of the Colombian Psychiatric Association, has been director of the Human Rights Subcommittee and member of its Ethics Committee and the Subcommittee of Public and Social Psycihatry; former member of the Board of the Colombian Association of Biological Psychiatry Association; International Member of the American Psychiatry Association; Member of the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities; Member of the National Movement for Mental Health in Colombia; University teacher of postgraduate programs in the University El Bosque in Bogota (Master of Community Mental Health program), Sanitas University in Bogota (Psychiatry Residency program), University of Sucre in Sincelejo (Master of Public Health program). He studied Medicine (University of Cartagena, Colombia), Psychiatry (University El Rosario, Colombia); Master of Bioethics (University El Bosque, Colombia); Master of History (Javeriana University, Colombia), Doctoral Candidate on Public Health (National University, Colombia).
