Victor B. Stolberg, Ed.M., M.A.T., M.A., M.A.L.S., M.S., M.A., M.S.Ed., M.A.H., M.A., is an Assistant Professor/Counselor at Essex County College in Newark, New Jersey, where he previously directed the Office of Disability Support Services and the Office of the Substance Abuse Coordinator. He is also formerly directed the Alcohol Awareness Program at the University of Buffalo (SUNYAB). His 9 master’s degrees are from the State University of New York at Cortland, University of Buffalo, Rutgers University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, and Montclair State University. He was a founding member of the CORE Institute and helped create the CORE Instrument, which has been widely used to survey the substance patterns of college students. His professional service has included an array of local, state, and national substance abuse organizations, including serving as a board member of the International Coalition of Addiction Studies Educators and he is currently a board member of both the Board of the Friends of the Newark Public Library and the New Jersey Community College Counsellors’ Association. He has delivered hundreds of workshops and other presentations across the country. He authored, or co-authored, 49 scholarly articles, 94 encyclopedia articles, 6 chapters and contributed papers, and 63 miscellaneous publications, as well as a book titled Painkillers: History, Science, and Issues and another titled ADHD Medications: History, Science, and Issues. This amounts to a total of over 200 publications. He is currently working on a book titled ADHD: Inside Diseases and Disorders, which is under contract with ABC-CLIO. He has also delivered over 150 professional presentations in over 20 states consisting of papers, workshops, panel discussions and so forth; these have been at the local, state, national, and even international level. He has delivered professional seminars on over 30 topics, mostly for individuals pursuing addiction counselor certifications. In addition to his substance abuse experience, he is a trained archaeologist and historian.
