Hatice Demirbas was born in Kayseri in 1963. She was graduated from Middle East Technical University Psychology Department in 1985. In 1992 she took Master’s Degree from Ankara University Institute of Health Sciences, Forensic Psychology. She took her Doctorate Degree from Hacettepe University Psychological Counselling and Guidance. Between 1986 and 2007, she worked in several departments of Ankara University Medical Faculty. She was assigned as an assistant professor in Baskent University Education Faculty. She has been working in Gazi University Faculty of Literature Department of Psychology between 2012-2018. she has been the chair of the department in Ankara Haci Bayram University, Faculty of Arts in Psychology Department since 2018. She got her associate professorship of applied psychology from YOK in 2014. Since 2011, she has given several doctorates, undergraduate and graduate courses. She has several articles in international and national peer-reviewed journals. Besides oral presentations in international and national congresses, she was spokesperson in several panels and courses. She is a reviewer and editorial board member in several journals. She is a member of various organizations such as Turkish Psychological Association, Turkish Group Psychotherapies Association, Suicide Prevention Association, Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect Association.
