Biography

I am an enthusiastic Public Health Physician who was part of the COVID 19 response team in Nigeria and an Environmental Impact Assessor. I am also an infectious disease expert focusing on Lassa fever, COVID 19 and Mpox. I completed my Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2008 and completed a six-year Postgraduate Fellowship program in Public Health and Community Medicine in 2016. These afforded me the opportunity to be practically trained on infectious disease response, community mobilization, environmental impact assessment (EIA), research methodology to mention a few. In carrying out these responsibilities, I had to employ leadership and managerial skills as well as excellent writing and verbal communication skills. I just completed a Master’s in Public Health at the University of Sunderland with a distinction (2023). This has built my passion and interest for research that focuses on closing the gap between health and social inequalities among the populations and communities as well as imbibing positive behavioural change. In line with my professional trajectory/projection of becoming a globally acclaimed infectious disease expert, public health practitioner and academic leader, I intent going in for a PhD in Clinical Medicine (DPhil) in the University of Oxford United Kingdom. My ability to learn and grow, resilience and communication abilities will serve to support and actualize the desired result of this project.
