Biography

Hidayah Karuniawati completed a bachelors degree in Pharmacy and specialist (pharmacist) at the Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), Indonesia. She took clinical pharmacy expertise for her masters degree at the Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and graduated with a doctoral degree in clinical pharmacy from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences Universiti Sains Malaysia. She has been working as a lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy UMS since 2009. She has succeeded in obtaining funding from UMS as well as from national agencies. She has established her independent research group and has been working extensively on survey studies and experimental studies including the development and validation of instruments (questionnaires) related to Infectious diseases (Pneumonia, Tuberculosis, irrational antibiotic use) and non-infectious diseases (cardiovascular disease, Diabetes Mellitus). She published original articles/review articles in reputed national and international journals.
