Biography

Ali Farnoud is a senior scientist and project manager at the Institute of Computational Biology (ICB) and Institute of Lung Biology and Disease (ILBD) at Helmholtz Zentrum MÃ¼nchen (HMGU). Previously, he worked as a senior development engineer for medical device design and invention at VitroCell GmbH. He was a Ph.D. student at Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing (IWR) and his Ph.D. was awarded in Physical Chemistry at Heidelberg University in 2018. He is a specialist in multiphase, CFD simulations, and turbulence modeling. He previously worked in mechanical and medical device companies modeling and optimizing the drug delivery process of devices (BEKO AG and VitroCell GmbH). He was involved in a POC project and an EU project (Smartnanotox) with an overall budget of 4 Mioâ‚¬ and 8 Mioâ‚¬. His current focus is on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications and CFD modeling.
