Biography

Rakesh Nair is currently a Faculty at Florida International University Herbert College of Medicine. His clinical training includes General Surgery and Primary care practice. Nairâ€™s research interest includes clinical surgery, medicine and public health issues. He has been author of a medical book thatâ€™s being published & circulated in India & co-authored in one of the article on arteriovenous fistula published in Journal of Vascular Access. Rakesh is FIU alum, bringing to the College of Medicine over 5 years of experience within the public health research and clinical practice. He holds a Masterâ€™s degree in Public Health with a concentration in Environmental & Occupational Health from FIU as well as a Medical Degree from India. He is also a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
