Antonio Jose Rocha is PhD in Biochemistry from the Federal University of Ceará. He holds a masters degree in biochemistry from the same post-graduate program in biochemistry at the Federal University of Ceará. He holds a Bachelor in Biological Sciences from the State University of Vale do Acaraú. He was the first of the Biological Sciences class and decorated by the dean with a postgraduate scholarship (Lato sensus) for being the best biology student in the class of 2006.1. He is a reviewer of more than 15 national and international scientific journals of prestige. In addition, he is part of the Editorial Board of scientific journals such as Journal Sustainability in Environment (SE), Asian Journal of Research in Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Medicinal Research & Biological Studies. However, he has several published papers and chapters books. In addition, he has experience in research with gene expression by RT-PCR (semiquantitative), quantitative PCR (qPCR), normalization of data with reference genes in qPCR assays. In addition, he has experience in DNA sequencing, DNA analysis and alleles using Microsatellite markers, Gene silencing, gene cloning. It also has experiments with bioinformatics applied to the genome and proteomics; (Genomics): as functional genomics, identification of genes in public databases (Genbank), selection of genes, molecular phylogeny, design of primers for gene expression, etc. (Proteomics): homology or comparative modeling of proteins), Docking and Molecular Dynamics, etc., as well as other activities with emphasis on Molecular Biology and proteomics as 1D and 2D electrophoresis, and protein purification.
