Biography

Marco Cruciani is qualified as Associate Professor of Theoretical Philosophy. He has a PhD in Cognitive Science and Education (University of Trento, Italy). He is director of the series: La mente e i sistemi cognitivi. Collana di scienze cognitive, filosofia e tecnologia (Mind and Cognitive Systems: Series of Cognitive Science, Philosophy and Technology), Aracne, Roma (Italy). He is guest Associate Editor of the Journal Frontiers in Psychology, and Review Editor of the Journal Frontiers in Education, Lausanne (Switzerland). He organized several national and international conferences as Chair and Programme Chair. He published several single-name articles and books as author and editor in philosophy of language, philosophy of science and theoretical cognitive science. He taught Critical Thinking at the University of Trento. He was visiting researcher at the Dept. of Philosophy, University of Dundee, Scotland. He won in 2010 the best paper award at the Italian conference of cognitive science on language with the paper: “Inferential processes and truth-conditional level in explicit communication”. He worked in several research projects funded by European Union. He directed the Italian Association for Cognitive Sciences for a decade as Vice-President and Governing Board member.
