Biography

Chenshu Liu is a cell biologist and geneticist in the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology at University of California, Berkeley. He did his Ph.D. at Columbia University Medical Center, where he contributed to the understanding of how centromere identity is epigenetically maintained in human cells during mitosis. As a Postdoctoral Fellow at UC Berkeley, Chenshu is focused on dissecting the molecular mechanisms underlying oocyte quality control during meiotic cell cycle progression, using Caenorhabditis elegans as a model organism.
