Biography

Takao Imai completed the doctoral course at the Faculty of Basic Engineering, Osaka University. Now working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology, Keio University School of Medicine since 2004 after working as a research fellow at the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science for three years. He published the papers engaged in research on the structure and properties of RNA-binding proteins. He is interested in the properties of stem cells, neurons, and primarily the translational regulation of genes in those cells. He focus on the action of activity-dependent translational regulators at neuronal synapses and is conducting current research. Since 2020, he have been an assistant professor at the Graduate School of Information Science and Engineering, The University of Electro-Communications.
