Biography

Ashraful Islam earned his PhD degree from the University of Tokyo, Japan preceded by medical degree (MBBS) from Dhaka Medical College. He is got his medical degree certified by Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduate, USA (ECFMG) after completion of all steps of United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLE). Dr. Islam has more than 15 years of professional experience as a physician-scientist, in clinical practice, cancer research, teaching, mentoring, collaborating and project management. He has many peer-reviewed scientific publications, conference papers and patent. He is awarded Japanese Government Doctoral Scholarship (Monbusho), Japanese Young Surgical Oncology Award and Visiting Fellow of NCI NIH, Bethesda, MD, USA. He is a current member of American Association of Cancer Research, American Association of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Biological Chemistry and past member of International Society of Radiation Research and Japanese Cancer Society.
