Asif Zamir is a lecturer at International College of Engineering & Management (ICEM) Muscat, Oman. He has huge experience of 13 years as lecturer and researcher in well reputable educational institutions and oil and gas industry. Before joining ICEM Oman, he has been served as a lecturer at the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia and as a researcher at King Saud University (KSU) (Saudi Arabia) and as trainee drilling engineer at OGDCL, Pakistan. He holds his MSc degree in Petroleum Engineering from King Saud University (Saudi Arabia), B.sc degree in Petroleum Engineering from BUITEMS Pakistan in 2008 and has MBA degree as well. He has completed several research projects / grants funded by Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Petronas Carigali and Malaysian government funding agencies in the field of Oil & Gas Drilling Engineering, Flow assurance and Shale gas development. Also, delivered several consultancies and short courses with CAPE-UTP in the field of drilling engineering. He also published several research articles in the field of Petroleum engineering especially drilling engineering. He is certified IWCF Engineer and also possess vast experience on Halliburton’s Landmark Drilling software module. Last but not least, he has been a certified engineer from Pakistan engineering council (PEC) Pakistan, society of petroleum engineers (SPE) and Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
