Liu Jichang, professor of East China University of Science and Technology and director of Petroleum Processing Institute, was selected as a national Young Talent Program in 2020. His research interests include molecular refining and refinery system optimization. He chaired the key project of National Natural Science Foundation of China (U1862204), and the key project of Enterprise Innovation and Development Joint Fund (CNOOC) (U22B20141), more than 20 science and technology development projects of petrochina, Sinopec and CNOOC, more than 100 papers published in important academic journals, more than 10 Chinese invention patents authorized, 10 computer software copyright registration. He won the first prize of Shanghai Teaching Achievement and the second prize of Science and Technology Progress of Petrochemical Association. He is a member of the Petroleum Refining Branch of the Chinese Petroleum Society, the chairman of Shandong Province Heavy Oil Processing Technology Innovation Center, the director of Shanghai Petroleum Society, and the young editorial board of "Petroleum Journal (Petroleum Processing)" and "Journal of East China University of Science and Technology". In 2023, he won the Outstanding Contribution Award of Youth Science and Technology of Petrochemical Federation.
