Dr. Manayer AlMujalhem is a Petroleum Engineering Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University at Qatar. Her academic and professional journey includes degrees from Johns Hopkins, Carnegie Mellon, and Texas A&M universities and demonstrates her unwavering commitment to both scientific advancement and fostering diversity in STEM fields. Dr. AlMujalhems expertise lies in utilizing experimental methods to simulate formation damage in petroleum reservoirs, and evaluate and develop remediation techniques, a crucial area for maximizing oil and gas recovery which contributes directly to sustainable efficient extraction of resources. Prior to her academic pursuits, Dr. AlMujalhem gained valuable industry experience as a Drilling & Completion Fluids Field Engineer on onshore fields in oil fields in Kuwait. This hands-on experience instilled in her a deep understanding of real-world challenges, which she now translates into practical research solutions with industry applications. Dr. Almujalhems commitment extends beyond the lab; as a LEED Green Associate, Google-Certified Project Manager, MBA holder (Quantic), and volunteer in several professional societies, she actively seeks opportunities to advocate for inclusive and equitable participation in scientific fields and empower, mentor, and inspire future generations of scientists and engineers, particularly women in STEM.
