Frank You is a research scientist in bioinformatics and genomics at Morden Research and Development Centre, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), Canada, an adjunct professor of Department of Plant Science, University of Manitoba and a guest professor of Nanjing Agricultural University, China. He earned Ph.D in plant genetics and breeding with statistical genetics in 1989 and a BS degree in agronomy in 1982 and a BS degree in computer science in 1999. He has the expertise in computational biology and bioinformatics, statistical genetics, and plant genetics and breeding. His recent research projects include flax genome sequencing, QTL mapping and gene cloning of genes associated with seed yield and disease resistance in flax and wheat, flax breeding database development, and gene identification and marker development for wheat disease and pest resistance. He has contributed more than 100 peer-reviewed papers in scientific journals.
