Hridoy Ranjan Bairagya was started his Ph.D. research work on September, 2006 at Department of Biotechnology, National Institute of Technology, Durgapur and he is the first Ph.D. Research Scholar of this Department. During this time he focused on the molecular dynamics simulation of human Inosine Monophosphate Dehydrogenase enzyme and developed the bioinformatics/computational chemistry laboratory on protein dynamics/simulation/computer aided drug design at the Department of Chemistry. In addition, he is an active member in three professional societies in India. After his Ph.D. degree, he continued his research work at National Institute of Technology- Durgapur from 2012 to September, 2013 as Post PhD fellow. He is an editorial board member and a potential reviewer of several International Journals. In September, 2013, he received most prestigious ''Young Scientist'' award from Science and Engineering Research Board (Govt. of India) and started his research work as Independent Researcher (PI) at the Molecular Biophysics Unit, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. After successful completion of the research work, he joined at Department of Chemistry (research group of computational chemistry), University of Cambridge, UK in 2015. After returning at India, he joined (2017) and started his research work on computational structural bioinformatics study of bio molecules at Department of Biophysics, All India Institute of Sciences-New Delhi as a Pool Scientist (C.S.I.R, Govt of India).
