Konstantinos Papageorgiou is a distinguished Military Officer and accomplished scholar in the field of Veterinary Medicine. He obtained his Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.TH) in 1998 and completed his PhD in Veterinary Medicine at the same institution in 2017. Konstantinos s expertise extends beyond his military service. He possesses diverse skills in microbiology and infectious diseases, including diagnostic techniques and modern molecular methods such as Next Generation Sequencing. He has also been trained on special microbiological techniques in several Institutes of Europe (United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium). His research contributions have yielded valuable insights into viral pathogens and their transmission, as well as vaccine development. Notably, he has participated in several international conferences as both a speaker and committee member. Beyond his research, Konstantinos is an accomplished educator. He has been actively involved in teaching microbiology and infectious diseases at the Veterinary School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
