Biography

A.K.M. Humayun Kober is a distinguished Bangladeshi academic, researcher, and author, serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Dairy & Poultry Science, and Director of the Poultry Research & Training Center at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU). With over 24 years of teaching, research, and service, he has made pioneering contributions in dairy science, probiotics, food immunology, and livestock production. He earned his PhD in Animal Production Science from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan, as a MEXT scholar. Prof. Kober has authored the acclaimed book Milk and Dairy Foods: Nutrition, Processing and Healthy Aging (CRC Press, 2024), recognized globally among the top resources in dairy science. His work includes over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles (impact factor ~107), national consultancy for livestock services, and product innovations such as probiotic and low-fat yogurts. A widely respected scholar, columnist, and TV guest, he bridges science, industry, and society.
