Biography

Dr. Rekha Rani is an Assistant Professor Dairy Chemistry in College of Dairy and Food Technology, Agriculture University, Jodhpu. Before this worked as Assistant Professor (Dairy Technology) in Warner College of Dairy Technology at Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, technology and Sciences (SHUATS), Allahabad. She has worked as Executive (Quality Assurance) with Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. (Amul), Anand, Gujarat and Devyani Food Industries as Management Representative for ISO activities, Kosikalan, Mathura before joining to SHUATS, Allahabad. She did B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) from College of Dairy and Food Technology, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Udaipur (Rajasthan). She did her master’s in Dairy Chemistry and Ph.D. in Dairy Technology from ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, Haryana, India Dr.Rekha specialized in the area of fermented foods, beverages, smoothie and traditional Indian dairy products. She is currently working on herbal dairy products, gluten-free dairy and food products as well as traditional Indian dairy products. She has several publications in National and International journals and popular articles in Hindi and English. Dr. Rekha also authored chapters in National and international books. She teaches Dairy technology subjects like Condensed and dried milks, packaging of dairy products, fat rich and traditional dairy productsas well as Dairy and Food Chemistry subjects such as Food chemistry, Bio-chemistry and Human nutrition to B.Tech. (Dairy Technology), B.Sc. (Hons.) Food Technology, B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology, M.Sc. (Dairy technology and Food science and technology) and Ph.D. (Dairy technology and Food Technology). Dr.Rekha has guided Major advisor for ten students including M. Tech. (D.T.) , M. Sc. (Food Technology) and M. Sc. (Dairy Technology) student. Currently she guided one Ph.D. and 14 M. Sc.and M. Tech. (Dairy Technology) and M. Sc. (Food Technology) students.
She received Young Women Scientist award, First oral presentation award in International Conference (EIAEASSD-2018), Allahabad. India. She received IFI magazine best feature article award-2017 and received in IFCON-2018. She has received several awards including Gargi award, Kaizen award, Young Scientist award.
