Biography

Nuray Gamze Bozdağ is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of Food Hygiene, Food Safety, and Veterinary Public Health. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine (2003) and earned her PhD in Food Hygiene and Technology from Selçuk University in 2012. Currently serving at Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, she is the Head of the Department of Food Hygiene and Technology and contributes actively to several academic commissions, quality committees, and curriculum boards.

With extensive experience in food microbiology, molecular analysis, species identification, and food safety management systems, Dr. Bozdağ has authored numerous SCI and peer-reviewed publications and contributed to several national and international book chapters. Her research focuses on foodborne pathogens, microbiological risk assessment, animal-derived food safety, and innovative analytical techniques such as PCR and ORBITRAP-based identification.

She has served as an editor, advisory board member, and reviewer for multiple reputable scientific journals and has participated in various international congresses and COST Action working groups. Dr. Bozdağ has also played significant roles in national committees of the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and has contributed to many accreditation, quality management, and laboratory standardization activities.
