Biography

Professor A K Gaur, completed (Ph. D.- Chemistry at Central Drug Research Institute, and awarded Doctorate in faculty of Science from Dr. B R Ambedkar Agra University, Agra formerly known as Agra University, Agra (India) in the year 1988. Subsequently, joined as Junior Scientist at ESSCEE Biotech India Pvt. Ltd., Lucknow (India) a subsidiary of ChemGenes Corporation Boston, MA (U.S.) where learnt the chemical synthesis of Oligo nucleotides/peptides. Thereafter worked as Pool Scientist at Indian Institute of Toxicological Research, Lucknow(India) formely known as Industrial Toxicology Research Center affiliated with Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi (India) upto the year 1991 where the area of research was remediation of pesticidal effect on Environment Management of their deleterious nature. Then, switched over towards University teachings for Undergraduate and Post graduate Teaching and Research First at Jiwaji University, Gwalior(India) subsequently joined as Assistant Professor(Biochemistry) in the year 1992 at GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar (India) and elevated as Associate Professor in the year 2000 thereafter selected as Professor Molecular Biology and Genetic engineering In the year 2006 working till date. During this period of Teaching/ Research/ Training a conference of FAO BMB held at Tokushima (Japan) was attended and a training conducted by IPGRI (FAO) was attended at Wuhan (China). The present interest includes Biodiversity related issues.
