Biography

Vishwa Jyoti Baruah and his group undertake primarily computational biology and theoretical techniques to solve wide spectrum of problems in evolution, genetics and genomics. His group research interests also cover field of proteomics, drug discovery and pharmacology. He is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Center for Biotechnology and Bioinformatics of Dibrugarh University, Assam. He is an alumnus of Gauhati University and Tezpur (Central) University. He carried out his research work at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati before joining Tezpur University again as Research Associate. He has been associated with several research projects in various areas of molecular biology, biotechnology and evolutionary biology since 2009.
